On August 11, 2025, HerFlow Foundation, in collaboration with KPMG, delivered a donation of menstrual and personal care items to Mary’s Child, a residential home for young women and their babies. The items, generously supplied by Lasco Distributors, will help ensure that the residents have consistent access to essential hygiene products.

Mary’s Child, operated under the Missionaries of the Poor, provides shelter, care, and guidance for young mothers and expectant teens who are often facing challenging circumstances. Access to menstrual and personal care products is a basic necessity, but for many, it remains out of reach.

HerFlow Foundation’s mission is simple yet urgent: to end period poverty in Jamaica. The organization firmly believes that no Jamaican should have to face the indignity of being unable to manage their personal hygiene, regardless of their circumstances.

“This donation is a reminder that dignity begins with the basics. When we ensure that women and girls have access to menstrual and personal care items, we are telling them they matter,” said Shelly-Ann Weeks, Executive Director of HerFlow Foundation. “Our collaboration with KPMG and Lasco Distributors is proof that when partners come together, we can meet immediate needs and keep moving towards our vision of ending period poverty in Jamaica.”

For Mary’s Child, this support is more than just products—it’s a statement of care and solidarity.

“The young women here at Mary’s Child will truly benefit from this donation,” said Ms. Nadia Williams, Administrator at Mary’s Child. “It is heartening to know there are organizations and partners who care about the dignity and well-being of our girls. This contribution will make a real difference in their daily lives.”

HerFlow Foundation continues to call on corporate partners, community groups, and individuals to join the fight against period poverty. With sustained collaboration, the goal of ensuring that every Jamaican has the resources to manage their menstrual health with dignity is within reach.
