HerFlow Foundation created Period Awareness Day to end the stigma and shame that surrounds menstruation and to ensure every person can access menstrual health resources with dignity. Join us on October 24 as we unite to break the silence around periods, inspire change, and support those impacted by period poverty.
Purpose: Combats the stigma and shame associated with menstruation through public events and social media campaigns.
Content: Awareness activities, discussions, and advocacy campaigns to foster an open, accepting culture around periods.
Goal: Build a society where menstruation is seen as a natural and respected aspect of life.


How can you participate?

Share Your Period Story: Use #PeriodIsEverywhere to share your experiences and help normalize period conversations.
End Period Poverty
Start a drive to collect menstrual products and donate to a group impacted by Period Poverty.
Support the Movement
Donate to organizations, like HerFlow, working to end period poverty and make menstrual health accessible for all.
Disrupt the stigma
Show solidarity with those who menstruate by raising awareness and encouraging open dialogue.

HerFlow Period Awareness Day Activities
This social media campaign will help eradicate about periods through storytelling. By sharing personal experiences, we help normalize conversations about periods. Use #PeriodIsEverywhere to share your experiences and help normalize period conversations.
We will visit 10 schools and conduct Period workshops at each. Products will be distributed to students and a survey will be conducted to access the impact of period shame on the students and how we can eradicate it
This is to raise awareness about Period Poverty and Period Shame and why we should address these issues. We will encourage donations on location to continue HerFlow’s drive to End Period Poverty in Jamica. Sales/Promotional opportunity to do a sales push on location encouraging customers to purchase products and donate on spot.
Menstrual product donation campaign that allows participants to sponsor pads for students, focusing on under-resourced schools and communities. Share the progress via social media with interactive donation trackers.
An initiative by HerFlow Foundation, is a transformative event designed to empower women with the knowledge, resources, and support they need to address female reproductive health issues such as fibroids, endometriosis, PCOS, and more. This conference brings together leading medical experts, holistic practitioners, and businesses offering innovative treatment and lifestyle solutions tailored to improving pelvic and reproductive health.
100 Volunteers across 5 tertiary institutions distribute 1000 period kits to students across the campuses. They also engage with students about the importance of Ending Period Stigma. The afternoon ends with a student-led Panel Discussion to discuss options that can be used to eradicate period stigma
