HerFlow Foundation successfully partnered with Always to combat period poverty in Jamaican public schools. Running from August to November 2024, the campaign provided just under 200,000 menstrual products to high schools across Jamaica. Fourteen schools, one in each parish, received free Always maxi pads, ensuring that female students had access to the menstrual care they needed to stay in school and succeed.

This year marked the sixth consecutive year of the initiative, which has donated over 1 million menstrual products to more than 50 schools across the island since its launch. The campaign has become a powerful force in addressing period poverty, providing girls with the resources to manage their menstrual health with dignity.

Shelly-Ann Weeks, Founder and Executive Director of HerFlow Foundation, shared, “Our mission has always been clear: to make sure that no girl in Jamaica is held back by period poverty. Thanks to the continued support of Always, we’ve been able to reach thousands of girls in schools across the island. Menstrual health is a fundamental part of a girl’s ability to succeed academically, and we are proud to remove one more barrier to her education.”
The campaign’s impact extends beyond just providing products—it allows girls to attend school without fear of missing classes due to a lack of menstrual supplies. Through this collaboration, HerFlow and Always have made a lasting difference in the lives of many Jamaican students, helping them stay in school, focus on their education, and ultimately, achieve their full potential.
